Final Thoughts And Questions

This assignment was helpful in understanding that each student is different and as a teacher, one has to realize that it is important to understand each student's background and use it as a teaching concept.  I grew a lot when it came to building relationships and breaking down the barrier of teacher and student.  Learning to ask students questions and try to understand their life outside of the classroom made it easier to understand them as students.  Learning that each student has their own set of skills, was truly important throughout this assignment.  It was great to see how each student worked and learned differently and how the teacher and I would help communicate knowledge through several different types of learning structures.  Working with Anthony made realize that students who have potential but aren't motivated is a challenging task.  This is something that I will carry with me throughout my teaching career making sure to make my classes enjoyable and interesting so that students like Anthony who need the extra motivation are well taken care of in my class.

Remaining Questions:

Anthony really impressed me over the semester,  but one question I still have is, "Will he continue to use his potential that he sees in himself, or stay at the level he is because its more comfortable?"
